On their 16th anniversary, during a shopping stroll, the lawyer Nick Fifer confesses some affairs to his wife Deborah. She goes wild and insists on a divorce. After they agree to the division of their belongings, Deborah confesses having an affair also. Now he gets very upset and wants the divorce for his part, but the last word is not spoken yet.
Bill Irwin has a supporting role as a mime, and appears frequently
throughout the film, always in character, and thus never speaks.
